MVP design for AI-powered hiring platform
Avery had the AI and a product worth building. What they needed was a design team who could move fast and hit the ground running. We designed their request, kept the interface sharp, and added extra screens on our own initiative where we saw gaps. All of it shipped in 10 days.

Overview
We worked with Avery in the early stages of the product and were responsible for a module inside the first version. The brief was clear: take a powerful AI engine and wrap it in an interface that feels simple, not complex.
Avery is an AI-driven hiring intelligence platform built to make recruitment faster and more accurate. The opportunity was real. Most HR software is overbuilt, full of menus and steps that slow people down rather than help them. Avery wanted something different, they wanted to go-to-market faster.

Avery
The Challenge
HR teams spend most of their time on tasks that don't require human judgment: screening CVs, scheduling interviews, moving candidate data between systems. The tools they use make all of it slower than it needs to be.

The problem Avery was solving was clear. What wasn't clear yet was how to put it in front of a user without recreating the same complexity they were trying to replace. The screens needed to make the AI feel approachable, not abstract. And they needed to bring sourcing and matching into one place without overwhelming the person sitting in front of the screen.
Avery
The Solution
We designed the full interface around a single generative flow. Instead of menus and dashboards, the product starts with one question: what role are you hiring for? Everything builds from there.

That decision shaped every screen. The chat interface at the core isn't a chatbot bolted on top of a legacy product. It's the product. We designed sourcing and matching to live in the same place, in a flow that HR managers can move through without training. Every screen was built to reduce the number of decisions a user has to make, not add to them.

Results
Avery went from concept to working MVP in 10 days. The new screens cut time-to-fill by 50% and reduced clicks across the hiring flow by 60%. HR managers could run sourcing and matching from one place, in an interface that didn't ask them to figure anything out. We kept everything in one flow.

Faster
Cut in time-to-fill
Fewer clicks
Cross the full hiring journey
Concept to working MVP
Designed the necessary screens
The platform went from a fragile design to a high-end design that builds trust and serving the end goals of the user: faster hiring.
Avery
Final thoughts
Avery had the AI and market understanding. What they needed was someone who could quickly turned ideas into development ready screens. We came in as design partner in the early stages, owned the interface from start to finish, and shipped an MVP in 10 days. The simplicity on screen took real work to get right. Note: we added screens on our own initiative.
