Modernizing LegalTech SaaS to win more deals
Reptune had been solving a real problem since 2016. Transfer pricing documentation for corporates, built by consultants who actually knew the work. They have over 150+ enteprise clients worldwide but were still losing deals because the product looked like it was built in 2016.

Overview

We worked closely with Reptune's team across four months and eight stakeholders to redesign the product from the inside out. A modern UI layer, onboarding flow, and a product that finally looked as capable as it actually is.
Reptune started as an internal tool at IKEA. That's where the idea came from: consultants who needed a better way to handle transfer pricing documentation, so they built one. Eight years later, the product was running in more than 150 corporate clients worldwide. The problem wasn't the product. The problem was that new prospects couldn't see past the interface to what the product could do.

The Challenge

Reptune's existing customers were satisfied. User tests confirmed it. The product worked. But in competitive sales situations, the outdated UI was losing deals before the conversation got far enough to prove it.

The Amsterdam-based scale-up was watching prospects choose competitors not because the competition had a better product, but because it looked better in a demo. On top of that, the onboarding process was sales-heavy. Every new customer needed a manual demo to get started, which capped how fast Reptune could grow. Both problems came down to the same thing: the product wasn't showing well.

The Solution

We started to understand how the product worked, who used it, and where the experience broke down. That grounding shaped everything that came after.

The full UI was rebuilt with a modern design layer that brought the product in line with what enterprise buyers expect to see. Not a cosmetic update, a proper revamp that worked with the product's logic rather than against it.

Results

After the redesign, Reptune stopped hearing that competitors looked better. Sales went up 200%. The onboarding flow helped recude pressure on sales and removing the manual step that had been limiting growth.

Final thoughts

Reptune had eight years of product development behind them and a real foothold in the market. Losing deals to competitors with an inferior product because of how the UI looked was a solvable problem. We solved it. A full redesign, onboarding flow, and four months of working directly with the team. The sales increase speaks for itself.
