Bringing robot platform faster to market through design
Asimovo helps robot engineering teams build and launch intelligent robots faster. After months of internal development, the platform had accumulated so many features that users could no longer find their way through it. Daasign came in as design partner to bring the complexity back under control.

Overview

We analysed the full system with the Asimovo team, redesigned the key user flows, and built a scalable design system that gave their 4 developers a clear foundation to keep building from.
Asimovo is a platform built for robot engineers. The product vision was strong and the team had been executing on it fast. That speed had a cost: every new feature added to a system that was already getting hard to navigate. The platform knew what it could do but users were struggling to find out. Asimovo recognised they needed an outside perspective to cut through what had built up and get clarity back into the product.

The Challenge

How do we get users to understand the value of the platform quickly?

Months of feature development had layered complexity onto complexity. Navigation had become confusing. Robot configuration, one of the most critical workflows in the product, required users to move through too many disconnected steps. The more the platform could do, the harder it was to use. With 100+ robot engineers relying on the software and a funding round behind them it was slowing down growth.
Asimovo

The Solution

We started by mapping every major user flow to understand where things broke down and why. The navigation was restructured from the ground up, with the most essential user actions brought to the front.

The biggest single improvement was a configuration wizard for robot setups. What had previously been spread across multiple disconnected steps was brought together into one guided flow. Large amounts of data, presented in a way users could actually move through without losing context. Alongside that, we built a scalable design system that gave the development team a shared visual language to work from.

Results

Asimovo left the project with a platform their users could navigate, a design system their developers could build on, and a roadmap for what comes next. User tests confirmed the software was measurably easier to use after the redesign.

The team went from a platform that was getting harder to use with every release to one with a clear structure, a guided configuration flow, and a foundation that supports faster development sprints instead of fighting them.

Final thoughts

Asimovo had a real product but became complex. What they didn't have was a design layer that could keep up with how fast the product was growing. We came in as a design partner and rebuilt the flows around how robot engineers think. The configuration wizard alone changed how users experienced the product. The design system means the next engineer who joins the dev team won't start from scratch.
