Whether a design retainer agency is worth it for a small business comes down to a few honest questions: How much design work do you actually need? What's your budget? And how much does visual design matter to how you get and keep customers?
Most small businesses underestimate how much design they go through. Social media posts, promotional materials, email campaigns, website updates, product packaging, it adds up fast. Without a steady creative partner, you end up juggling multiple freelancers, re-explaining your brand every few weeks, and burning time you don't have.
