Full frontend redesign for 8-figure B2B glass webshop
Glasdiscount is an online store and manufacturer where businesses and consumers can buy glass, materials and supplies in all types and sizes. The company has grown steadily over the past few years, but wanted to grow faster. A redesign was needed to take that next step. We rebuilt the full frontend around one question: how do we send conversions through the roof?

Overview

Glasdiscount sells glass online from Eindhoven, the Netherlands. The shop had already grown more than 40% in a single quarter but wanted to grow even faster. 60 to 70% of buyers are professionals: contractors, glaziers and interior builders. The rest are consumers. During this project we aimed for a 10% conversion rate and installed the design system that is ready to scale.
Glasdiscount

The Challenge

A shop built around 20+ years of product knowledge and expertise, selling to professionals who just want the right glass on site, on time, at a clear price. A lot of data needed to be presented in a user-friendly way so visitors could quickly find what they need and check out. Because the site was already performing well, we had to keep the same structure to preserve SEO authority. We also had to account for different personas, which made it more complex to optimize every user journey on the pages.
Glasdiscount

The Solution

To achieve a 10% conversion rate, we treated this as conversion architecture: every page was rebuilt around how each buyer type makes decisions. We ran an on-site discovery session and defined the strategy for the years ahead. We mapped all pages and flows, then started optimizing the header and footer, which was also the heaviest lift on the development side. We systemized the full site with components, atoms, variables, and sections, so it's future-proof and ready to scale, and we implemented this system inside their existing workflow. Across all components and sections, we applied as many conversion principles as possible, drawing on best practices from stores doing €100M+ a year.

Results

Glasdiscount now has a modern shop that converts visitors into recurring clients and provides them access to 20+ years of knowledge and experience in the glass industry. Every page carries the signals a professional buyer checks before ordering, and every component is ready for A/B testing once live data comes in.

Final thoughts

Glasdiscount did not need a prettier shop. It needed a conversion machine that turns their traffic into paying (& recurring) customers. We are currently monitoring data carefully and doing optimizations. Use design as a growth lever to outpace competition and stay ahead of the market.
